Which Way To The Beach?

Good heavens Lovey. It's going to be a cold one tonight!

Had a few inches of snow today and it's nice and windy out there tonight.

Sure wish I was down in the Keys right now with the palm trees swaying in the breeze and the rum drinks going down smoothly.

Or maybe in Miami.

Well, maybe next month......

Tropical Christmas Party

With snow on the ground and Christmas only 6 days away, we're preparing for a Tropical Christmas Party tonight.

Ham, Jerk Chicken, Pineapple, plenty of rum from the islands and some Red Stripe beer to top it all off.

We'll be mixing up some "Tropical Delite" fruit punch and floating away to warmer, gentler climates. Transporting ourselves to a beautiful beach somewhere in our minds. Bonfire roaring, waves rolling in gently, good friends, good food, good beverages, tranquility and beauty all around.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone.

I'll see you at the beach!

Blackberry Burnout

Are you ready for a vacation?

After a year like this one, who isn't?

It's been 9 long months since I've had a chance to even think about getting out of town.

At this point, I'd like to go anywhere just so long as I can turn off the Blackberry and get away from it all.

But, as always, when I dream of escaping it all, I can't help but think about white sandy beaches, clear blue water, tiki bars, cold martini's etc. etc. etc.

If you're getting out of Dodge, leave me a reply. I'd like to get some new ideas on where to go and what to do.

Ciao.

White Sand, Cold Drinks, Blue Water.......

With the temps going down to zero tonight, I can't help but think about taking off for someplace tropical.

I have Jimmy Buffett's "Tin Cup Chalice" going through my head. What a perfect way to sum it all up....... "I want to be there. I want to go back down and lie beside the sea there."

Visions of beach bars are dancing in my head. An outdoor patio right next to the beach. A guy in the corner with a guitar singing Jimmy Buffett songs. Ice cold beer. Fresh shrimp with spicy cocktail sauce, butter and lemon. Some good buddies to hang out with. What more could I ask for? Ahh yes, some nice palm trees swaying in the wind would top it all off.

If you are in such a place, I envy you.

Enjoy it! Savor it!

You could be here.
