Ok, It's Time.

Some days you just wake up and it hits you..... I really need a vacation.

That's how I'm feeling this morning. Sitting here at my computer thinking about sand, surf, beaches, boats and palm trees.

Plus all of the other things that you do when you are in a place that has all of the above.

Quite frankly, you know it's bad when you almost don't care whether you travel or not. As long as you just don't have to go to work or take another phone call or solve another problem or work on another project. At this point, I just want out for a while.

What ever happened to the two week vacation? Remember back in the day when the family would pack up and go of on excursions to the Grand Canyon or down to Florida or some other interesting place? Well, not anymore.

Now, you're lucky if you can even take all of your vacation time. Let alone go anywhere for any length of time. On top of that, why is it that we need two wage earners to afford the same or less of what our parents had in the past?

I've only been lucky enough to go on one two week vacation in my life. The Traveler went to Brazil for two weeks. It was the best vacation that I've ever experienced. And, after two weeks away from all of the nonsense at work, you actually feel very relaxed and refreshed. You need two weeks off to forget about all of the petty things that were driving you nuts before you left town.

Oh well, I don't mean to go down the negative path on you this morning. But, sometimes a person just has to get it out of their system.

I think it's been about 5 and a half months since my last week off.

I believe it is time to drop out for a while.
